About

I am a life-long writer and educator. I wrote my first novel while still in elementary school and went on to earn my undergraduate and graduate degrees in English. I taught English for fifteen years before moving into the world of higher education. Most recently I became Orton-Gillingham trained and taught elementary and middle school students diagnosed with dyslexia. When taking some time for myself, I enjoy reading, jigsaw puzzles, reality TV, live theatre, live music, spending time with nature, and seeking new experiences. In addition to my husband and kiddos, our family includes Sophie (cat) and Manila and Daphne (pups).
